Post College

For the first 18 years of life social structure is pretty simple. Family. School. Summer break. Going to college extends that cycle by 4 or 5 years, but what happens after that? In times past, college grads quickly settled into a career and a family. Today, settling down isn't so simple. In the words of Bob Dylan, "the times they are a changing." Kingdom Collective exists to provide community and purpose for that period of life between college and whatever comes next.

Living For Love

What is really worth living for? The rich are never rich enough. Fame doesn't fulfill the famous. We all feel a longing for something more. So what is it? In our pursuit for purpose the one thing that never lets us down is true love. The problem is that none of us come close to loving perfectly. If we are ever going to change the world with the power of love we are going to need some help.

Following Jesus

There has never been a more radical example of love than Jesus Christ. Jesus defined the greatest purpose of life as loving God and loving people. And He didn't just teach about it. Jesus was the perfect example of love in action. The Bible says that He loved us so much that He died so that we could live. It is only by the unconditional, perfect, and powerful love of Jesus that we will ever be satisfied. So, we follow Him to know true love and live it out.

Tragic events like the recent terrorist attacks in Paris are painful reminders that suffering is a very real part of our lives. When we see this kind of evil, how are we to respond? The Bible is full of answers that can not only bring hope in hard times, but can actually push back the rising tide of darkness we see in this world.
